Match Week 7: Peoria FC United night, hosting Chicago, food trucks

PEORIA, Ill. — With four games and less than three weeks left, Peoria City is looking to finish our second season strong.

Tomorrow night (6/28), Peoria hosts the Chicago Dutch Lions at Shea Stadium.
Looking for redemption at home, we’re hoping for a great crowd to bring the noise and cheer the boys on to victory.
Wednesday night we are hosting Peoria FC United for PFCU Night. This will allow youth players from across central Illinois to have a meet-and-greet with our players, take photos, and walk out on the field with Peoria City. We are thankful for Peoria FC United’s support in this and can’t wait to host them this season.
We are excited to welcome back three food truck partners Wednesday night. Haddad’s (Tony’s on Wheels), Sweet Girl Treats and Tropical Sno will all be served up delicious food and dessert before, during and after the match.
We are looking forward to announcing a new sponsorship partner in the local automotive industry soon. This partnership will allow for an enhanced game-day experience, and hopes for long-term collaboration to support both Peoria City Soccer and the local business community.
We hit the road next week to play our first-ever match against Springfield Athletic Sporting Club. With Peoria City having one of the highest-attended home games in all of USL League Two, we hope our fans will travel well to the State’s Capitol for this inaugural match.

“Peoria will play home to future stars of American soccer.”
- Jim DeRose, Bradley University Head Soccer Coach
