Sueño FC unable to travel to Peoria due to a medical issue
(MAY 12, 2026 | PEORIA, IL) – Due to a medical situation involving Sueño FC, tonight’s Peoria City exhibition game in the CEFCU Friendlies Series has been cancelled. Peoria City is finalizing the details for a new addition to the Series for a date next month and will share the replacement game information as soon as the details are finalized.
The replacement game will be included in Peoria City season-ticket packages. Fans who purchased tickets specific for tonight’s game may redeem those tickets at the replacement game or work with Peoria City on a refund.
Fresh off this past Saturday’s 3-1 win at FC Ambush in the 2026 USL League Two opener, Peoria City will resume action in the CEFCU Friendlies Series this Saturday (7:30 pm) by welcoming Midwest Premier League opponent BOHFS St. Louis to Shea Stadium. The Carp also will host former League Two Heartland Division rival River Light FC May 19 (6:00 pm) in the CEFCU Friendlies Series before welcoming Des Moines Menace Saturday, May 23 (7:30 pm) in their USL League Two home opener.
Saturday’s matchup is included in both Peoria City season-ticket packages, as well as the Menace Plus One ticket offer, which provides for a half-priced ticket for the exhibition game with the purchase of a full-priced ticket for the May 23 contest against Des Moines.
The Crusens Tailgate Zone will open at 4:30 pm Saturday, followed by the Discover Peoria Play Zone at 5:30 and stadium gates at 6:30. School of Carp Kids Club members may play with Peoria City players on the field at 6:30 and the March of the Carp stadium entrance will begin at 7:22.
