Peoria City Forms Partnership with DQ Performance - Peoria City Soccer

(MAY 20, 2026 | PEORIA, IL) – In its effort to provide quality training opportunities for all area soccer players, including women’s players, Peoria City has partnered with DQ Performance for an advanced and comprehensive training program at The Yard Peoria.

Led by former Peoria Notre Dame and Creighton University women’s soccer player Dr. Carey Donlan, DQ Performance is offering two, five-week training programs this spring and summer. Each five-week program will meet three times per week for 90-minute sessions at The Yard Peoria (1503 W. Altorfer Drive) with a three-pronged approach designed primarily for high school and college soccer players looking to elevate their game.

Dr. Donlan earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Creighton University in 2011 while competing as a member of the Bluejays’ women’s soccer team. She went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy from Bradley University in 2015, then added a PhD in health science from Rocky Mountain University in 2025. She has worked as the strength and conditioning trainer for the Peoria Notre Dame women’s soccer team since 2022 and is a physical therapy instructor at Bradley.

In addition to her extensive background in the game, Dr. Donlan offers a comprehensive approach to training that combines soccer skills with improved strength and movement.

Technical development, ball mastery, agility and game-specific movement

Speed, power, endurance, injury resilience and athletic performance

Coordination, movement efficiency, stability and injury prevention

Registration for each five-week, 15-session program is $600 and a $200 discount ($1000) is provided by signing up for both five-week sessions. Session 1 will run June 1-July 3 with Session 2 to follow July 6-August 7. Options exist to pay per training session and flexible payment options are available, as well as private training opportunities. Players interested in signing up for DQ Performance Training should complete the Athlete Intake + Participation Waiver or contact Dr. Donlan via email at careydahlquist@gmail.com.

The DQ Performance programs add to an extensive menu of soccer camps and clinics offered year round by Peoria City. While the club’s sixth After-School Training Program is in its final two weeks, Peoria City will kick off five weeks of soccer camps with the Junior Day Camp and Kicking Kids Camp June 8-11 at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex. Additional camps follow each week at The Yard Peoria or Bradley University’s Meinen Field through July 16.
