June 6 Match Is A Makeup Event in the CEFCU Friendlies Series
(MAY 26, 2026 | PEORIA, IL) – Peoria City has added a game to its 2026 home schedule and will host Midwest Premier League side Chicago Ghost F.C. Saturday, June 6 at Peoria Stadium as part of the CEFCU Friendlies Series.
The friendly versus Chicago Ghost was added to the schedule to make up for the May 12 game in the CEFCU Friendlies Series that was forced to be cancelled when visitors Sueño FC were unable to travel due to a medical issue. The new game June 6 is slated for a 7 pm kickoff at the Peoria Public Schools Stadium (315 W. War Memorial Drive) and has been added to all 2026 Peoria City season-ticket packages. Single-game general admission tickets for the friendly are available for just $5 in advance by visiting the Tickets page at PeoriaCitySoccer.com. Parking will be free at Peoria Stadium.
Peoria City was ranked #17 nationally in the USL League Two Power Rankings before earning a 3-1 win Saturday night versus perennial power Des Moines Menace. At 2-0-0, Peoria City is the only team in the Great Plains Division with an unblemished record and sits atop the division table with six points. The Flying Carp will look to carry the early-season momentum into a two-game, League Two road swing: Wednesday at Springfield FC (0-2-0, 0 points) and June 3 at Santafé Wanderers FC (1-0-1, 4 points).
The friendly June 6 versus Chicago Ghost F.C. will kick off a 3-game home stand for Peoria City, which will follow with a June 9 friendly versus Ehtar Belleville FC (6 pm) and the June 13 League Two return game versus Santafé Wanderers FC (7:30 pm), both at Shea Stadium.
