“Back-to-School” Camp Sessions Aug. 2
It is not too late to register for Peoria City’s special “Back-to-School” editions of the School of Carp Camp for Beginners and Individual Skills 3v3/4v4 Camp at The Yard Peoria. The one-day sessions both are set for Saturday, Aug. 2, beginning at 9:00 am, at The Yard Peoria (1503 W. Altorfer Drive) and will be modeled after the popular format of this summer’s School of Carp (ages 5-7) and Individual Skills 3v3/4v4 (ages 7+) Camps.
Directed by Peoria City men’s team head coach Mike Paye, net proceeds from these “Back-to-School” editions of Peoria City Camps at The Yard Peoria will benefit the Amos Foundation, supporting charitable services in Coach Paye’s native Liberia.
The School of Carp Camp for Beginners is priced at $25 for the two-hour session from 9-11:00 am, while the Individual Skills 3v3/4v4 Camp is set at $65 for the five-hour session from 9:00 am-2:00 pm. For more information and to register for the new camp sessions, click the Camps link at PeoriaCitySoccer.com.
Named in honor of Coach Paye’s father, the Amos Foundation was established to support impoverished communities in Paye’s home country, Liberia. For more information about the Amos Foundation, view the WEEK-TV story published July 5 or this Peoria Journal Star article posted last summer.
