Celebrating Another Historic Peoria City Season

(JULY 8, 2025 | PEORIA, IL) – Peoria City’s men’s team is headed to the USL League Two Playoffs for the third time in four years, but before the Carp turn their attention to the postseason, the club invites the community to celebrate another historic season on the pitch tonight at Duck’s on Farmington Road and during Saturday’s regular-season finale versus Sunflower State FC at Shea Stadium.

Peoria City enters the revenge game versus Sunflower State FC second in the USL League Two Great Plains Division with a 7-3-1 (22 points) record, clinching the division’s second Playoffs spot with one game remaining in the regular season. The tailgate lot will open at 4:30 pm Saturday and gates will open at 6:30 ahead of the 7:30 kickoff. Tickets start at just $6 for Peoria City home games and may be purchased in advance through a pair of online offers or at the entry gate beginning at 6:30:

Peoria City “Prime Days” Offer

Peoria City has joined the online shopping event known as Prime Days by offering a special offer for Saturday’s finale: available now through 11:59 pm Friday night, fans purchasing tickets online through Peoria City’s Prime Days Offer will receive a 13 percent discount on all Peoria City merchandise purchases at the Shea Stadium merch stand during Saturday’s game and the first 163 offer buyers also will receive a coupon from Crumbl Cookies for a free cookie from the East Peoria or Peoria locations.

Peoria City Campers Reunion

Highlighting its first season of camps at The Yard Peoria, Peoria City invites all Central Illinois Soccer Academy and Peoria City Camps at the Yard participants for a fun reunion. All 2025 campers will receive complimentary admission for Saturday’s game and will be invited on the field for the pregame activities: campers will form a tunnel to greet the Peoria City players as they take the field for the final time before the game, then will remain on the field for the international walkout, national anthem and introduction of the starting lineups.

Peoria Rivermen Night

Peoria City also will celebrate the championship success of the community’s professional hockey team as Saturday’s celebration will include Peoria Rivermen Night at Shea Stadium. Peoria Rivermen season-ticket holders have been given the opportunity to claim complimentary tickets for Saturday’s game by the hockey club and members of the Rivermen organization will be on hand Saturday night with the 2025 Coffey Trophy in recognition of posting the best regular-season record during the SPHL season.

Supporting the Amos Foundation

Peoria City fans are invited to support head coach Mike Paye’s Amos Foundation with monetary donations accepted through a GoFundMe page, as well as the collection of financial contributions, gently used clothing and non-perishable food items at Peoria City’s final regular-season home game.

Named in honor of Coach Paye’s father, the Amos Foundation was established to support impoverished communities in Paye’s home country, Liberia. For more information about the Amos Foundation, view the WEEK-TV story published July 5 or this Peoria Journal Star article posted last summer.

Fans delivering a donation of clothing or non-perishable food (jasmine rice and beans specifically requested) at the Shea Stadium entry gates for Saturday’s game may receive a complimentary admission ticket for the game. In addition, Peoria City will position monetary collection containers at various locations in the stadium and the club’s share of proceeds from this season’s game-day sale of Industry Brewing brands 309 Red Lager and Goalden Light are being donated to the Amos Foundation.

Final Meet and Greet

Peoria City staff and players invite fans to the season’s final Meet & Greet event tonight (6:00 pm) at Duck’s on Farmington Road. A new club sponsor this season, Duck’s on Farmington Road has sponsored the “Duck Call” during each home game this season, offering all fans in attendance a coupon for a free one-third pound of chicken tenders when Peoria City scores during a designated 10-minute window in the first half. The Carp have obliged twice this season, once by the women’s team May 28 versus Junction FC and once by the men June 28 against FC Ambush.
