Peoria City to Play 12 Games vs Great Plains Division Rivals
(FEBRUARY 11, 2025 | PEORIA, IL) – Peoria City’s quest for a return trip to the USL League Two Playoffs will begin May 9 when the Flying Carp visit Great Plains Division rival FC Ambush to kick off the club’s 12-game, regular-season league schedule, according to the reveal of schedules for all 158 pre-professional clubs Wednesday afternoon.
Following the May 9 visit to FC Ambush, Peoria City will open its League Two home schedule against perennial power and its most consistent league rival, Des Moines Menace, Saturday, May 23.
Competing in the Great Plains Division for the second year in a row, Peoria City will travel for six division road games and will host six division games at Bradley University’s Shea Stadium. Peoria City also is in the process of building out an exhibition schedule with all “friendly” home games to be included in the club’s full season-ticket packages.

Peoria City is preparing for its fifth season of competition in USL League Two, the nation’s top pre-professional men’s soccer league, with 158 clubs in 2026 stretching from coast-to-coast. The club has qualified for the League Two Playoffs in three of its first four seasons, including a run to the 2024 national championship game while serving as a tournament host through all five postseason rounds.
