The Fieldhouse Joins Five Bars Pub Club

Two More Five Bars Fan Events Added to Preseason Schedule May 7 and May 11

PEORIA, IL (April 19, 2022/Updated April 20, 2022) – The Fieldhouse Bar & Grill has become the fifth member of the Peoria City Five Bars Pub Club, which has added two more fan events to the USL League Two soccer team’s preseason schedule.

Last week, Peoria City announced the formation of the Five Bars Pub Club, an association of local establishments which will host Peoria City events and soccer-themed promotions throughout the year.  The Fieldhouse Bar & Grill joins Bearded Owl Brewing, The Fox Pub, Pour Bros. Craft Taproom and W.E. Sullivan’s Irish Pub & Fare in the Five Bars Pub Club.

The first Five Bars event will take place Thursday, April 21 (3:00 p.m.) at W.E. Sullivan’s Irish Pub & Fare in Peoria Heights, where ESPN Peoria’s The Jim Mattson Show will broadcast live and Peoria City’s ownership and management team will talk about the formation of Peoria’s entry into USL League Two, present the team’s branding marks and unveil the promotions schedule for the team’s six 2022 home games.  Fans also may purchase season and single-game tickets, as well as Peoria City merchandise, and join the Peoria City supporters group.

Following Thursday’s event, the second Five Bars event will be held May 7 at The Fox Pub in conjunction with the restaurant’s regular Saturday breakfast during English Premier League action.  Three days before Peoria City kicks off its inaugural season May 14 by hosting Minneapolis City SC at Shea Stadium, the 2022 squad will host a team meet-and-greet event Wednesday, May 11 (6:00 p.m.) at The Fieldhouse Bar & Grill in Campustown.

Additional in-season events are being planned in a rotation among the Peoria City Five Bars Pub Club and will be announced as details are finalized.

Peoria City is preparing to kick off its inaugural season Saturday, May 14 when the first-year USL League Two expansion team hosts Minneapolis City SC.  The other five Peoria City home games are scheduled for Friday, May 27 (Des Moines Menace); Friday, June 3 (St. Croix SC); Wednesday, June 22 (Des Moines Menace); Friday, July 1 (FC Manitoba) and Sunday, July 3 (Thunder Bay Chill).  All six games are slated for 7:00 p.m. CT kickoffs at Bradley University’s Shea Stadium.

Peoria City tickets and promotions information will be announced April 21.

Five Bars is a reference to the design of the Peoria City badge, which incorporates six diagonal lines to form the borders of five wider bars.  The lines symbolize the six Illinois River crossings into the Peoria city limits, while the five bars represent Peoria’s five city council districts.
