(JULY 3, 2025 | PEORIA, IL) – On the heels of Wednesday night’s draw versus the No. 2-ranked team in the nation, Des Moines Menace, Peoria City (7-2-1, 22 points) will continue its chase for the postseason Saturday night when the Flying Carp host local rival Springfield FC (3-7-0, 9 points) at Shea Stadium.
While still alive for the Great Plains Division title with two games remaining, Peoria City can secure its spot in the USL League Two Playoffs for the third time in the club’s four seasons by earning a result (win or tie) in either of its two remaining games, Saturday night versus Springfield FC or July 12 against Sunflower State FC. Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. game at Shea Stadium versus Springfield FC will be the third meeting of the season between the two clubs. Following a 1-0 win May 31 at Springfield, Peoria City followed up with a 6-0 triumph against the Stags three nights later on a rainy night at Shea Stadium.
Single-game tickets for Peoria City home games begin at just $6 and are available for purchase in advance by visiting https://www.gofevo.com/group/PeoriaCity2025 or at the stadium entry gates at 6:30 pm on game nights. The tailgate parking lot will open at 4:30 pm both nights in advance of the 7:30 pm kickoff. Tony’s on Wheels and Nothing Bundt Cakes will be featured Saturday night, while the July 12 food truck vendors are scheduled to include Monari’s Chili Dogs and Tropical Sno. The pregame tailgate both nights also will include music by Advanced Media Partners radio stations KISS-FM, WWCT and Shuffle Radio.
Following the popular debut of Peoria City bucket hats in the Prairie Home Alliance Play Packs, the club has partnered again with TMArboProductions for a new addition to the merchandise stand: a limited supply of Peoria City Hawaiian Shirts will be available for purchase beginning Saturday night.
Additionally, the first 100 Play Packs will include a free cookie card, provided by Crumbl Cookies’ Peoria store.
Supporting the Amos Foundation
Peoria City fans are invited to support head coach Mike Paye’s Amos Foundation with monetary donations accepted through a GoFundMe page, as well as the collection of financial contributions, gently used clothing and non-perishable food items at Peoria City’s two remaining home games.
Named in honor of Coach Paye’s father, the Amos Foundation was established to support impoverished communities in Paye’s home country, Liberia. For more information about the Amos Foundation, view the WEEK-TV story or Peoria Journal Star article, each posted last summer.
Fans delivering a donation of clothing or non-perishable food (jasmine rice and beans specifically requested) at the Shea Stadium entry gates for the games July 5 and July 12 may receive a complimentary admission ticket for that night’s game. In addition, Peoria City will position monetary collection containers at various locations in the stadium for the two remaining games and the club’s share of proceeds from this season’s game day sale of Industry Brewing brands 309 Red Lager and Goalden Light are being donated to the Amos Foundation.
Rivermen and Camper Reunion Night
Peoria City’s regular-season finale Saturday, July 12 will feature the celebration of the Peoria Rivermen’s 2024-25 William B. Coffey Trophy season, as well as the reunion of the soccer club’s 2025 summer campers.
Peoria Rivermen season-ticket holders will be provided complimentary admission for the July 12 game versus Sunflower State FC and members of the organization will be on hand with several Rivermen championship trophies, including the 2024-25 Coffey Trophy in honor of the SPHL’s top regular-season record.
All participants in the 2025 Peoria City and CISA summer camps will receive complimentary admission to the July 12 finale and will be invited onto the field for a pregame reunion.
