THUNDER BAY, ON – A season of firsts continues this weekend as Peoria City heads north of the border for the first time in franchise history, but the first-year USL League Two franchise will see a pair of faces familiar to the local fan base when it starts the Canadian swing at Thunder Bay Chill Friday night at Tbaytel Field at Chapples Park.

Thunder Bay (1-1-1) enters Friday’s Deep North Division match sitting fourth in the table with four points, four points behind Peoria City’s (2-1-2) second-place eight points. A pair of rising Bradley sophmores will try to help the Chill cut into that deficit Friday night: the Thunder Bay roster includes Bradley defender Jackson Fyda and midfielder Camden Kowalski. Both Braves have appeared in each of Thunder Bay’s first three games.
Following Friday’s night’s match, Peoria City will complete its Canadian road trip by visiting FC Manitoba (0-1-2, 2 points) Sunday afternoon at Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex in Winnipeg. Peoria City then will have a 10-day break to prepare for its second visit from defending League Two champion Des Moines Menace June 22 at Shea Stadium.
Single-game tickets for Peoria City home games begin at just $5 and are available for sale online at PeoriaCitySoccer.com, in person at Five Bars locations The Fieldhouse Bar & Grill, The Fox Pub and Cafe and Pour Bros. Craft Taproom and on game nights beginning one hour before kickoff at the Shea Stadium entry gate. All Peoria City home games are slated for 7 p.m. start times at Bradley University’s Shea Stadium with free tailgate parking available beginning at five o’clock.
