PEORIA, IL (July 18, 2022) – Peoria City is the No. seed in the Central Conference of the USL League Two Playoffs and will take on Chicago FC United, the #2 seed, in quarterfinals matchup Friday in Flint, MI.
Although the No. 7 seed in the Central Conference, Flint City was selected to host the first two rounds of the playoffs for its quadrangular grouping. Flint City will take on No. 3 South Bend Lions Friday with the two winners slated to meet Sunday at Kettering University’s Atwood Stadium..

In its inaugural season, Peoria City (6-3-3) earned its League Two playoff spot by finishing second in the Deep North Division. Although the No. 8 seed, Peoria City was moved to the Flint City bracket to avoid a matchup against division rival and the Central Conference’s top seed Des Moines Menace. While Des Moines is the two-time and defending League Two champion, Flint City is a traditionally strong franchise that won the 2019 national title.
