(PEORIA, ILLINOIS) — Peoria City and Industry Brewing have joined forces once again, debuting the duo’s second beer in just as many years.
The “Peoria City Goalden Light” will hit store shelves and be on draft soon, announces Industry head brewer Mike Anderson.
“We wanted to do something easy drinking and lighter for our 2nd beer with Peoria City Soccer, thus Goalden Light was born,” Anderson says. “This is a light American Lager brewed with Pilsner malt to give it that beautiful clear gold color and Northern Brewer hops for a mild yet flavorful crisp lager.”
The American Lager joins its The 309 Red Lager counterpart, a Vienna-style Red Lager, which debuted in summer 2024.
“Industry’s bringing the magic once again, with another refreshing drink sure to be a summer favorite,” says Matt Sheehan, Vice President of Communications & Strategy for Peoria City. “It’s a pleasure to work alongside Mike and his team to bring these ideas to life, and we can’t wait for our fans and supporters to try the Goalden Light.”
The beer will officially debut at a Peoria City/Industry Brewing fan event on Tuesday, May 6 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Industry is located at 8012 N Hale Ave, Peoria, IL 61615. If the weather holds up, we will have the outdoor patio reserved for the celebration.
All Peoria City River City Brews partners will have the opportunity to serve the Peoria City Golden Light. The beer can be purchased at Industry, coming in 16 ounce cans.
