Peoria City announces open tryouts ahead of 2024 season

(March 26, 2024 | Peoria, Illinois) – Peoria City will host its first-ever open tryouts for the squad leading up to the start of the 2024 USL League Two season. Interested players will have the opportunity to showcase their skills two different times in front of the Peoria City technical staff. The first opportunity is during a 90-minute session April 3 at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex.

Registration costs $10 and can be paid upon arrival via Venmo or cash. All players will be expected to fill out a waiver ahead of the tryout.

Registration begins on-site at the Slugger Dome April 3 at 8:00 PM, with tryouts starting promptly at 8:30 PM. The evening should wrap up at 10:00 PM.

Players will train inside the Slugger Dome located on Louisville Slugger Sports Complex campus. The April 3 tryout is closed to the public.

A second tryout has been confirmed for Sunday, May 5 at Eureka College McKinzie Field. This tryout will be free for interested players. Registration begins at 4:30 PM at McKinzie Field, with tryouts starting promptly at 5:00 PM. The tryout will last two hours and wrap up at 7:00 PM. Peoria City supporters interested in observing the May 5 tryout are welcome.
