Peoria City Games to Feature 10-Minute “Duck Call”
Join Peoria City Players at Crusens on War Memorial for Copa Peoria Postgame
(MARCH 14, 2025 | PEORIA, IL) – The sound of ducks could mean free chicken for Peoria City fans during the 2025 season, thanks to a new in-game promotion during all men’s and women’s home games, sponsored by Duck’s on Farmington Road. Combined with a River City Brews sponsorship with Crusens, Peoria City season-ticket holders can also enjoy a pair of new dining offers at both Duck’s and Crusens locations by presenting their 2025 Peoria City Season-Ticket Loyalty Cards when placing their order for the promotional special.
Beginning with the March 22 Copa Peoria Series game between Peoria City and Chivas de Guadalajara U23 at Peoria Stadium, a duck call played over the public address system at the 20th minute will sound the start of the promotion’s 10-minute, goal-scoring window. If Peoria City scores during the ensuing 10 minutes, everyone in attendance will win one-third pound of Battered Chicken Fingers with a sauce from Duck’s on Farmington Road (dine in only and the purchase of a beverage required).
A new River City Brews partner, Crusens on War Memorial, invites all fans from the upcoming Copa Peoria Series doubleheader at Peoria Stadium to gather with Peoria City players after the games for a postgame party.

Peoria City’s men’s team kicks off the 2025 season, hosting the return of the Copa Peoria Series Saturday, March 22 at Peoria Stadium by taking on the U23 team from Mexican Liga BBVA MX super power Chivas de Guadalajara. The teams met in Peoria City’s first-ever international friendlies during a 2-game series last summer at Shea Stadium: a scoreless draw June 9 followed by a 3-2 Chivas U23 win in the second game June 12.
The 3:00 p.m. international friendly March 22 will be preceded by a big high school girls soccer clash at 1:00 p.m. between Peoria Notre Dame and Geneseo, a rematch of the 2023 Dunlap Sectional final.
