(April 4, 2024 | Peoria, Illinois) – Peoria City will add to its family-friendly entertainment model by introducing the Discover Peoria Play Zone throughout the 2024 home schedule at Shea Stadium.
Located on the Shea Stadium concourse to the right of the main gate and made possible through a partnership with the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Discover Peoria Play Zone will offer fun activities from area vendors for Peoria City’s young fans to enjoy from the time the gates open one hour prior to kickoff through halftime of each home game at Shea Stadium. Pop-A-Shot has provided a Peoria City-themed game to include in the Discover Peoria Play Zone every night and the list of additional activities is expected to vary from game-to-game. Each activity will be available by presenting a Play Zone ticket.
“The addition of the Discover Peoria City Play Zone is the latest example of the club’s commitment to bringing family-friendly entertainment to our community,” said Bobby Parker, Peoria City Chief Operating Officer. “We are thankful for the efforts of the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau to help bring the Discover Peoria Play Zone to life and we are looking forward to showcasing many of our community’s small businesses, artists and entertainers on game days throughout the season.”
Peoria City Play Packs will be available for purchase for $5 each in advance at peoriacitysoccer.com or upon entering the stadium and will include a numbered tennis ball for a halftime ball-toss game, an entry into a halftime grand prize game, each game’s promotional giveaway item and two Discover Peoria Play Zone activity tickets. Additional coupon offers may be added to the Peoria City Play Packs on a game-by-game basis and additional Discover Peoria Play Zone activity tickets will be available for $1 each.
