Match Week 6: Second chance against Chicago, hosting Des Moines Menace

PEORIA, IL — Coming off a dominant 3-1 victory over St. Charles FC, Peoria City Soccer looks for redemption against Chicago City SC.

This is arguably the toughest week of soccer the squad will face all season long. The USL League Two power rankings has Chicago City and the Des Moines Menace ranked in the top 5 out of over 120 teams.

Tuesday, Peoria City heads to the Windy City to face Chicago City. Castle’s Patio Inn will host the away game watch party for supporters.

Saturday, Peoria City hosts the Des Moines Menace. Dos Hermanos, Gramma Nana’s and Hilltop Grille food trucks will all be on-site feeding fans.

Peoria Rivermen season ticket holders also get in free to Saturday’s game. As of Monday, roughly 30 Rivermen fans have signed up to come to the game! We appreciate the Rivermen’s support of Peoria City Soccer and look forward to building on this relationship. Next Rivermen season, Peoria City Soccer season ticket holders will get in free to one of their games (date TBD). Coach Tim Regan will be able to drop the puck ahead of game time.

Currently, Peoria City is 3-3 and sits at fourth place in the division. If we win Tuesday, that will place us in third place above St. Charles.

We hope to fill Shea Stadium Saturday night to cheer our boys to victory over a very talented Des Moines Menace team.

“Peoria will play home to future stars of American soccer.”
- Jim DeRose, Bradley University Head Soccer Coach
