PEORIA, IL (June 21, 2022) – Coming off of a successful, 4-point road trip in Canada, Peoria City (3-1-3, 10 points) looks to capture its first home victory in franchise history when it takes on defending USL League Two champion Des Moines Menace Wednesday night (7 p.m.) at Bradley University’s Shea Stadium.

That match was tightly contested until the 70th minute, when Des Moines broke the tie to make it 3-2, then sealed it in stoppage time with a goal to ensure the 4-2 victory.
Since that contest both teams have been doing very well. Peoria City has gone (1-0-2) in its last 3 games. Those two ties coming against St. Croix SC on June 3rd and Thunder Bay Chill on June 10th. Peoria City’s victory was a decisive 4-1 victory on June 12th against FC Manitoba, when Adria Sabater notched the first hat trick in the history of Peoria City.
Des Moines on the other hand has gone an impressive (3-0-1) since facing Peoria City. The Menace had victories against Thunder Bay, St Croix SC and Minneapolis City, while drawing against FC Manitoba. Currently residing in the top two spots in the League Two Deep North Division standings, both teams will be coming into Peoria eager to get the three points from this contest.
