(NOVEMBER 24, 2025 | PEORIA, IL) – For those looking to add some soccer training during upcoming January and February school holiday Mondays, Peoria City is offering a trio of camp dates to keep the kids active when the area’s schools are closed after the New Year.
In addition to the previously-announced Winter Back-to-School Camp (Monday, Jan. 5), Peoria City also has added two more soccer day camps when schools are closed on Martin Luther King Day (Monday, Jan. 19) and Presidents Day (Monday, Feb. 16). Registrations for each camp are available individually or at a discounted price by bundling all three camps in the Holiday Monday Day Camps series together.
Focused on boys and girls of all skill levels in grades preK-8th (ages 5-14), each of Peoria City’s Holiday Monday Day Camps are available in two options:
School of Carp Mini Camps
The School of Carp Camps are a fun introduction to soccer for young participants (ages 5-7), regardless of previous experience. Run by Peoria City players and staff, the School of Carp program will feature soccer-related games and activities and also will incorporate a curriculum of non-soccer related programming to ensure a fun and enjoyable experience for participants.
The abbreviated School of Carp sessions run from 9:00-10:30 am. Pricing for The Yard Peoria Soccer Members is $25 for any one of the three camps or $60 for all three dates, while pricing for non-members is $35 for one camp or $90 for all three camps.
Full Day Camps
The full day sessions in the Holiday Monday Day Camps series run from 9:00 am-3:00 pm and are designed for boys and girls of all abilities in 3rd-8th grades (ages 7-14) who want to develop their all-around game. Interact with Peoria City players and staff as they provide their expertise and share their passion for the game to help develop players in a focused and fast-paced training atmosphere. This camp will feature sessions of highly-focused individual training with each camper receiving maximum touches on the ball, as well as a variety of small-sided, directional and non-directional games and activities to provide each player with real match decision-making scenarios. While there will not be goalkeeper training during the day, the camp will provide aspiring goalkeepers a maximum amount of work with their feet, which is essential to their development in the modern game.
This camp will feature a break for lunch (11:45-12:15) and campers should bring their own meal. Peoria City will NOT provide lunch.
Pricing for The Yard Peoria Soccer Members is $65 for any one of the three camps or $165 for all three dates, while pricing for non-members is $75 for one camp or $195 for all three camps.
Preparing for its fifth competitive season, Peoria City is the area’s top pre-professional soccer team and the club has advanced to the USL League Two Playoffs in three of its first four seasons, including a run to the 2024 national championship game at Bradley University’s Shea Stadium.
