2025 Peoria City Camps and Clinics
In addition to its partnership with the Central Illinois Soccer Academy, Peoria City is proud to partner with The Yard Peoria for additional camps and training opportunities with its players and coaches this summer.
The new summer camp offerings include opportunities for children in grades preK and up to learn from Peoria City players and staff in a variety of settings throughout June and July. While registration for the two Central Illinois Soccer Academy camps is underway by clicking the SIGN UP FOR CISA CAMPS button, registration for Peoria City’s summer camp series at The Yard Peoria described below will open by May 1.
“FOR THE PLAYERS, BY THE PLAYERS” CAMP
Boys and Girls – Grades 3-8 (ages 8-14)
Monday-Thursday June 16-19
Session 1 – 9:00-10:30 am
Session 2 – 10:45 am-12:15 pm
$60 per session | $110 for both sessions
“For the Players, by the Players” is a program solely run and organized by Peoria City team members. These “pick-up” sessions allow participants to engage and play alongside Peoria City players from both the men’s and women’s programs in games and activities in a grass roots manner. The organic and free-flowing nature of the program allows participants to receive instruction and develop their skills in a fun and interactive space.

Open to players of all abilities who want to develop their all-around game. Come interact with Peoria City men’s and women’s players and coaches as they provide their expertise and share their passion for the game to help develop players in a focused and fast-paced training atmosphere. This camp will feature the first hour (9-10:00 am) of highly-focused individual training with each camper receiving maximum touches on the ball. After a short break, players will be divided into teams for 3v3/4v4 games that will feature both directional and non-directional games and activities to provide each player with real match decision-making scenarios, as well as the opportunity to enhance their speed of play and play in a high tempo environment to facilitate movement both with and without the ball. While there will not be goalkeeper training during the week, the camp will provide aspiring goalkeepers a maximum amount of work with their feet, which is essential to their development in the modern game.

The School of Carp for Beginners is a fun introduction to soccer for young participants, regardless of previous experience. The School of Carp program will feature soccer-related games and activities and also will incorporate a curriculum of non-soccer related programming to ensure a fun and enjoyable experience for participants.
GOAL-SCORING/FINISHING AND GOALKEEPER CAMP
Boys and Girls Grades 7-12 (ages 13+ Birth year 2012)

Utilizing full-size goals and size 5 soccer balls per USSF standards, the Goal-Scoring/Finishing and Goalkeeper Camp is specifically designed for any player who wants to hone, refine and enhance their scoring ability in and around the goal, regardless of position. Players will focus on aspects of goal-scoring, including, but not limited to, ball striking, timing and proficiency of finishing from flank service, set pieces and close-ranged finishing. Players that are defenders on their respective teams can also attend and will be put into situations to help develop their individual techniques and decision-making. Goalkeepers will be provided with a wide range of match-related scenarios to enhance their decision-making and refine their shot-stopping abilities, ability to handle crosses and flank play and deal with set pieces. Goalkeepers will be specifically trained by those with experience and expertise in the position and receive real-time coaching within each activity.
