Amos Foundation | Providing resources to those in Liberia

Peoria City 2024 Head Coach Mike Paye is sending a message to the Peoria City community.

Dear Peoria Community,

Inspired by my father, Amos, one of the nearest and dearest causes in my life is the Amos Foundation. It’s a Foundation I founded that aims to help children and families back in my home country, Liberia, who are in dire need of clothes, food and other supplies.

This summer was an amazing experience with you all. I saw firsthand how supportive the Peoria community is, as I was welcomed in with open arms. Peoria will always be a very special place in my heart.

I am excited to share that, with the help of generous donors and local organizations in Peoria, including Bradley University and Clarke University, we have made significant progress in our mission to support communities in Liberia.

Over the past 3 to 4 years, I have worked to bridge the gap between our community and those in need back home in Liberia. Through partnership with local churches and youth organizations, we have collected clothing, shoes, and soccer equipment to be sent to Liberia. These items will provide essential support to children and families in need.

Thanks to the community’s support, we have filled an entire shipping container with these vital supplies. However, the next steps require additional resources.

To date, we have raised $2,680 through our fundraising efforts, and with the community’s blessings, we have already secured the container and begun the loading process. We are reaching out to you for further assistance to cover the remaining costs and ensure that this container reaches its destination. The estimated cost for the resources to reach the communities in Liberia is $8,000.

Your investment in this mission will directly impact countless lives, providing hope and support to those who need it most. We invite you to join us in this transformative journey and make a difference in the lives of many.

If you’re able, here is the GoFundMe link to support the cause:

Thank you for your continued support and generosity.

Warm blessings,

Mike Paye
